More and more companies and organisations are using PayByLink to send payment links. And with good reason, because customers pay up to three times faster than with regular invoices. It’s very simple. In just a couple of seconds, you can send a payment link by email or text message. Your customers click on the payment link to start the payment, which is then processed simply, quickly and safely in their familiar banking environment. All kinds of payment requests – one-off, recurring and partial payments – can be sent using a PayByLink payment link. You can choose to do this manually through the dashboard, or completely automatically by means of our API solution.
In many cases, you will send one-off invoices for delivered products or services. Sometimes, however, you might want to allow customers to pay in instalments – for example, when it comes to a deposit for products with a delivery time or purchase-to-pay. PayByLink is the ideal solution for this too, enabling you to create a payment plan to suit your needs. You can choose the number of instalments, the amount per instalment, the period within which payment must be made, and much more with PayByLink. You only need to set it up once for an email containing a payment link to be automatically sent to the customer for the right amount, at the right time. You won’t need to give it a second thought.
When it comes to charity donations or upgrading a prepaid card, for example, the amount the customer wants to transfer is not known in advance. PayByLink enables you to send a payment link or display a QR code that allows the customer to specify the amount after clicking or scanning. You can allow your customers to choose from predetermined amounts such as €5, €10 or €25, or enable them to transfer any amount between a minimum and maximum that you specify.
The validity period of a payment link can be adjusted to suit your specific situation in PayByLink. For example, you can make the validity period coincide with the payment term on the invoice. When it comes to limited-availability products or services, special offers or last-minute offers, it goes without saying that you might want to use a short validity period. Examples include admission tickets, hotel room reservations or car rentals. You can set the validity period for the payment link yourself to the desired number of minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. If a customer clicks the payment link after the validity period has expired, a message that you have composed will be displayed. This helps you to stay in touch with your customers.
Because PayByLink is linked to many renowned Payment Service Providers (PSPs), if you already have a PSP, you can almost always link your account directly to PayByLink and get started right away. If you still need to choose one, we will be happy to advise you.
Every customer is unique and everyone has their own preferred method of payment. With PayByLink, you can take this into account and give your customers a wide choice of payment options, such as online banking (iDEAL, BanContact, GiroPay, Sofort) credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express) or other well-known payment systems such as PayPal, WeChat or Alipay. You can also combine local and international payment methods for maximum conversion.
